We are seeking a dedicated Infusion Nurse to join our growing team of healthcare professional. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital care and support to patients undergoing infusion therapy, while playing a key role in their overall treatment journey.
Position Overview:
As an Infusion Nurse , you will administer infusions for a variety of rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and more. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives the highest level of care in a safe, comfortable, and compassionate environment. Your expertise will directly impact our patients' well-being, improving their health outcomes and quality of life.
Responsibilities Administer Infusion Therapies:
Provide intravenous and subcutaneous infusions to patients undergoing treatment for chronic rheumatologic conditions, ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and safety.
Monitor Patient Reactions:
Observe and assess patients during the infusion process for any signs of adverse reactions, promptly addressing concerns and offering support.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, managing side effects, and empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare. Collaborate with the
Care Team:
Work closely with rheumatologists, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals to develop and adjust personalized treatment regimens for each patient.
Post-Infusion Care:
Monitor patients after the infusion for any delayed reactions, provide follow-up instructions, and schedule any necessary follow-up visits.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain thorough, accurate records of patient treatments, reactions, and care plans. Ensure all processes comply with healthcare standards, safety protocols, and regulations. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas, with current and active credentials. Infusion Therapy Experience is strongly preferred, especially in a specialty area such as rheumatology, oncology, or immunology. Familiarity with rheumatologic medications and biologic therapies (IV and subcutaneous) is an advantage. Excellent patient communication skills , with the ability to explain complex treatment plans in clear, understandable terms. A high level of compassion and empathy , as you'll be working closely with patients who may be experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, and long-term health challenges. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills , with the ability to manage complex and evolving patient needs.
