RN Manager - Assisted Living 16 Bed facility

Pleasant View Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our assisted living facility. Most weeks will require 2-3 days in assisted living. If wanting more hours, hours would be available on the nursing home side.

Relocation Grant Available:

A large relocation bonus is available if moving from an urban location to a rural location and must commit to working full time for 5 years. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development to maintain a motivated team. Develop and implement individualized care plans that address residents' medical needs. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations such as HIPAA for patient privacy and safety standards set by state and federal agencies. Coordinate with physicians, specialists (including behavioral health providers), and ancillary services like laboratory testing or medical imaging to facilitate comprehensive resident care. Manage documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Matrix and maintain accurate medical records and medical documentation. Conduct regular audits of clinical practices to uphold infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safe medication handling procedures. Facilitate discharge planning, family communication, and case management to support residents' transition and ongoing needs. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration. Highly preferred experience in assisted living, long-term care environments; prior supervisory or nurse management experience. Willing to attend Iowa Health Care Association training on Assisted Living Regulation and to become certified for Assisted Living. Exceptional communication skills to engage residents' families and coordinate with external healthcare providers confidently.
