Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Massachusetts to join our multidisciplinary team at our substance abuse treatment center. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to individuals navigating the challenging journey of recovery — including those in medical detox and inpatient treatment programs. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorder. You will work alongside a supportive team of clinicians, counselors, and physicians in a structured, compassionate environment.
Schedules Available :
7:00am - 7:00pm, 7:00pm - 7:00am, full-time Key Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments upon admission and throughout the course of treatment, including monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms Administer medications as prescribed, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) protocols such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, and methadone Monitor patients for signs of withdrawal complications and coordinate with the medical team for timely intervention Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system Provide patient education on substance use, medications, and healthy recovery practices Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed Uphold HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Support a trauma-informed, person-centered care environment Required Qualifications Active RN or LPN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (in good standing) Current CPR/BLS certification Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to non-judgmental, trauma-informed, patient-centered care Preferred Qualifications Experience in substance abuse treatment, medical detox, or inpatient behavioral health (preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate) Familiarity with CIWA-Ar (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol) and COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) protocols Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Knowledge of ASAM criteria and levels of care Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus Why Join Our Team We believe that recovery is possible for everyone, and we need nurses who share that belief. We offer flexible scheduling including day, evening, and overnight shifts. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Weekend availability may be required.Pay:
