Licensed/Licensable (We willsponsor qualified academy prospects) Relaxed tattoo and beard policy Relaxed atmosphere Popular year-round tourist destination - including Mackinac Island and Les Cheneaux Islands Regularly scheduled shifts Every other weekend off Mackinac County Residency - Required Top pay at 2 years External vest carriers County provided (No cost) Health Care MERS Defined Contribution Retirement with 9% employer contribution Vacation, Sick and Personal Time earned at start of employment Duties include operating patrol boats, Side x sides, snowmobiles and hovercraft

Positions:
The Mackinac County Sheriff's Office has a full time opening for the position of Road Patrol Deputy. Applicants are expected to pass a drug screen, background investigation, oral interview and psychological exam.
Pay and Benefits:
Minimum starting pay from $26.05 - $32.52 an hour plus shift premium. No cost health care for the employee and family, including medical/dental/vision. Yearly uniform allowance, longevity pay and vested retirement after 6 years. Total compensation package in excess of $85,000 yearly. All uniforms, training, patrol vehicle and equipment are paid for/provided by the employer.
