DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports roadway maintenance operations by managing inventory, reviewing work data, and assisting with planning activities for transportation projects within Delaware County. Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials, equipment, and information are available to meet program goals. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:

Inventory Control:

Receive goods, stock items, track materials, and maintain accurate inventory records in SAP

Vendor Coordination:

Prepare requisitions, contact vendors, and inspect materials for compliance and specifications

Data Review:

Analyze SAP work data to monitor production, material usage, and equipment utilization

Record Management:

Reconcile and process invoices, process purchasing card information, and maintain financial documentation

Program Support:

Assist with balancing work plans and ensuring necessary labor, materials, and funds are available

Field Assistance:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Winter hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework:

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
