ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure the bar is fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, napkins, straws, and other necessary supplies Clean and polish glassware, wipe down bar surfaces, sweep and mop floors, and empty receptacles Prepares garnishes as needed Monitor ice levels and replenish ice bins as needed Change out kegs and ensuring the beer taps are functioning correctly Help with tasks like pouring drinks, taking orders and clearing tables Participate in setting up the before opening and cleaning up after closing Maintain a clean and organized bar

EDUCATION

High School diploma or

GED. EXPERIENCE

Experience in the food and beverage industry

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have stamina, strength, and the ability to handle physical demanding tasks in a fast pace environment. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items 50 pounds or more like kegs, cases of liquor, and ice buckets, as well as stand and walk for extended periods. Be able to bend, stoop, and reach to stock shelves, clean spills and move around the bar area. Must be able to work under pressure and multitask during peak hours.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform in casino operations containing smoke and second-hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to work in fast paced environment and problem-solving ability. Must be able to work independently

Job Summary:

A barback is a support staff member who assists bartender in a bar or restaurant environment. Primary role is to ensure the bar runs smoothly by keeping it stocked, clean and organized, allowing bartenders to focus on serving customers and making drinks.
