In this vital role, you will operate heavy paving equipment to lay asphalt and other materials, ensuring smooth, durable surfaces for various projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, pavers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks to facilitate paving and construction activities Prepare surfaces by performing concrete forming, rebar installation, and site grading to ensure proper foundation for paving work Manage concrete mixers and concrete pumping equipment to deliver consistent material flow for paving projects Coordinate with team members to execute paving plans accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety standards Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools, performing basic mechanical maintenance as needed Assist in the setup of construction sites by loading/unloading materials and preparing work zones for paving operations Support concrete finishing tasks to achieve smooth surfaces and meet project specifications Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as rollers, pavers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks Hands-on experience with concrete mixing, pouring, forming, finishing, and pumping techniques Strong background in construction site operations with knowledge of safety protocols and best practices Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively Familiarity with rebar installation and concrete finishing processes is highly desirable Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating commercial vehicles on-site or between locations Prior experience working on asphalt paving projects or similar infrastructure developments is a plus
