Room Attendant/Housekeeping

Responsibilities/Duties

• Reports for duty on time and in proper uniform.
• Clean assigned guest rooms according to established procedures and brand standards within the allotted time frame.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities according to brand standards
• Report any areas within guest rooms that need attention, such as fixtures, door locks, televisions, HVAC, etc. to floor supervisor.
• Reporting lost and found articles to floor supervisor according to lost and found policy.
• Reports the status of rooms as they are completed on a timely manner.
• Returns equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Keeping an organized linen cart that is neat, well stocked and organized.
• Performs all other department related tasks, as assigned by management. Qualifications
• Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience an asset
• Proven sell motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
• Command of the English language in order to communicate with guests and associates.
• Must be able to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays Physical Demands
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Able to bend, stoop, and kneel for low area cleaning
• Able to push approximately 150 pound loaded cart
• Good hearing and vison Command of the English language in order to communicate with guests and associates
