Route Driver (16-18 ft Box Truck - Physical Work - Clean Driving Record REQUIRED)

Area Driver Apparel Impact LLC, a veteran and family-owned company, is seeking a hardworking individual who can work independently and, in a team setting as a Route Driver, servicing and emptying our clothing collection and recycling bins on daily routes.

This will be dedicated to our New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont routes, requiring 9-12 hour days. The start and end of the route will be our Hooksett, NH facility daily. Start time ranges from 5:00am - 6:00am. The job requires physical work as it is focused on the servicing of our bins, which entails emptying bags of clothing and stacking them in the truck. This position is 50% driving and 50% physical labor , requiring servicing bins and loading the truck. An eye for detail and consistency is needed. The position is open now and can be a permanent job for the right person. The position is full-time at 40 hours weekly, with the opportunity for overtime each week. The Route Driver job is to: •Drive our 16-18 foot box trucks safely collecting clothes out of our Clothing Collection bins. Each driver has daily routes that consist of 12-20 stops where our bins are located. •Clothes and Shoes are loaded into the truck in bags. Most clothing, shoes, and accessories are in bags, but drivers will bag loose clothes/items to protect the products people have recycled. This is a physical job. The company trucks have EZpass and most drivers utilize their personal cell phone for GPS, although a GPS can be provided if requested; making it easy to follow the routes and sites. The position requires hard work, as each bin contains bags of 10-30 lbs each and each bin can hold up to 750 lbs in total. A typical day route will bring in 5,000-6,000 lbs of clothes and shoes. Drivers run 5 routes a week, which is 40+ hours per work week. Routes are within NH, ME, MA, CT, and VT. Some routes may be a few hours from the starting location. Position pays $21+/hr with 5 days paid vacation accrued after every 6 months of employment. Apparel Impact LLC Clothes Collection is a recycling company.
