RT 1 Radiographer PD

Operates radiographic and other related equipment and assists physicians as necessary to complete diagnostic and/or theraputic procedures for patients of all ages. Coordinates patient flow and responsible for producing quality images efficiently and safely. All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum:

Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.

Preferred:

Continuing education in radiologic technology.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred:

Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

Knowledge of possible procedure complications and the ability to respond appropriately. Able to prioritize exams utilizing extablished department protocols. Able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians and fellow employees, orally and in writing, pursuant to the CHS English Proficiency and Usage Policy. Knowledge of radiologic technology theories and practices.
