Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable Rural Carrier Associate to join our team. This role involves delivering mail and packages to rural and suburban areas, ensuring timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, safety, and efficient route management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on community service and operational excellence. Two of our routes have vehicles provided by USPS, for our other two routes you are required to provide a personal vehicle to deliver out of with $ .97 paid per mile driven, typically an additional $50-60 of tax free money per day. Must be able to safely reach the right hand side of the vehicle when pulling up to a mailbox, there are universal postal pedal kits available that fit all vehicle types. Our carriers mostly use conversion kits from A&J Mobility in Eau Claire, WI, examples can be seen on their website. Work hours would be a minimum of two days a week, including weekends and federal holidays, with opportunities to pick up additional hours from other local post offices. Work location is 265 W 5th St, Rush City, MN 55069. Responsibilities Deliver mail, packages, and parcels along designated rural routes in a timely manner Navigate routes efficiently using route driving skills to optimize delivery times Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with recipients Follow safety protocols during all aspects of loading, unloading, and driving activities Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers Ability to operate vehicles safely over long routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Physical stamina for extended periods of walking, lifting, and moving items during deliveries Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Please go to the USPS website to apply
