Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Rural Carrier Associate to join our team. This is an entry-level position that requires the ability to drive from the passenger side of your vehicle, navigate rural routes, and deliver mail to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages, as well as providing exceptional customer service. The role involves a variety of tasks that require manual transmission driving skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks.Duties:
- Drive along rural routes to deliver mail and packages to customers.
- Operate a manual transmission vehicle safely and efficiently from the passenger side.
- Load and unload mail and packages.
- Use pallet jacks to move and lift heavy packages.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of mail and packages.
- Navigate rural routes and manage route schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with route driving and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and operate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and delivery procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
