Manufacturing Position Summary:
The Safety Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and enforcement of occupational health and safety programs within an industrial environment. This role works closely with operations, leadership, and employees to ensure compliance with safety regulations, reduce workplace risks, and promote a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing and maintaining occupational health and safety programs and policies Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses; document findings and corrective actions Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and assist with root cause analysis Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation, including OSHA logs Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires and current employees Monitor and track safety metrics, trends, and corrective actions Assist with environmental compliance activities as needed (waste handling, spill response, etc.) Support emergency preparedness planning and safety drills Serve as a point of contact for safety-related questions from employees and supervisors Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement across the facility Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Working knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety practices Experience conducting safety inspections and employee training Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
