Safety Specialist Talent Sourcing Hub Woodridge, IL Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $88,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Paid sick time Qualifications Ukrainian Regulatory compliance English Russian Team management Attention to detail Hours of Service (HOS) regulations Document management Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced Safety Specialist to support trucking operations with a strong focus on driver safety, FMCSA compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to confidently handle fast-paced situations within the transportation industry. Responsibilities Maintain and monitor safety and regulatory compliance systems Conduct driver onboarding, including MVR/PSP checks, drug & alcohol testing, and permit setup Monitor ELD/HOS compliance and support drivers with safety-related issues Notify drivers regarding inspections, weather conditions, and safety updates Maintain and organize driver, truck, and trailer documentation Prepare and audit driver binders to ensure FMCSA compliance Investigate accidents, claims, DOT inspections, and violations Handle post-accident procedures and follow-ups Manage permits, IFTA, IRP, and other compliance-related processes Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews Work closely with dispatch, fleet, and management teams Coordinate daily operations with junior safety team members and provide guidance when needed Support workflow organization and help maintain efficiency within the safety department Qualifications Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a Safety Specialist or similar trucking safety/compliance role Strong knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Experience working with ELD systems and HOS compliance Previous experience coordinating or supporting junior team members Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent situations professionally English is required / Ukrainian or Russian will be a plusLocation:
