Job Description

About the Role As a Safety Specialist, you will serve as a vital advocate for workplace wellbeing, driving the implementation of robust safety programs and environmental compliance initiatives. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety by conducting proactive audits, delivering impactful training, and utilizing data-driven insights to mitigate risks across our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Act as the primary subject matter expert for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards, ensuring full alignment with OSHA and state regulations. Develop and facilitate comprehensive safety training programs to empower employees and enhance site-wide safety awareness. Perform detailed root cause analyses and incident investigations to implement effective corrective actions and drive continuous improvement. Conduct regular on-site safety audits and job hazard assessments (JSA) to identify potential risks and promote best practices. Maintain and analyze safety reporting systems, providing actionable data to leadership to support decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safe operating procedures (SOP) into daily manufacturing workflows. Qualifications Required Skills College degree or equivalent combination of professional training and relevant work experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a safety-focused role within a manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with data management in Excel. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate effectively at all levels. Preferred Skills Demonstrated experience in developing and managing safety training materials. Proven track record in identifying and resolving operational safety challenges. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
