Job Description

Sales Engineer Clean Air Products is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role is responsible for working with customers to determine the best solution for their cleanroom needs. Candidate must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. Sales engineers manage multiple projects at a time. Candidates must be able to communicate engineering concepts in simple terms and respond quickly to the customers need for pricing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handling inbound sales inquiries and managing a sales pipeline through to close.
  • Qualifying leads, identifying customer needs, and providing solutions aligned with the company's offerings.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge about the company's products.
  • Maintaining and updating NetSuite with accurate customer and sales data.
  • Following up with prospects to build relationships and convert them into long-term customers.
  • Providing feedback to management on market trends, customer feedback, and sales tactics.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering to ensure the customer receives an accurate quote and drawing needed to sell the product.
  • Other duties as assigned Required skills and qualifications Good communication skills - Comfortable talking on the phone, writing emails, participating in video conferences, and occasionally attending a trade show.
Good communication skills are required to explain complex information in simple terms, clearly convey the benefits and features of our products to customers and ensure that the technical details are understood and appreciated. Good organizational skills - Must follow company procedures, learn NetSuite software, and organize technical information so you can assist customers with questions. This is a multidimensional role where you are responsible for customer service, sales, and project management. Self-motivated - Able to work with little to no supervision. Must be a self-starter with a figure it out mentality and the desire to learn the products and industry. Must be able to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and work independently or as an active member of a team. Analytical nature - This position requires understanding client needs and offering solutions and support. Your success is based on selling products by understanding customer needs, providing technical explanations, problem-solving, demonstrating value, and preparing quotes. Good mathematical aptitude and spatial ability are required. You will be working with calculations daily. Detail oriented - Requires great attention to detail because there is no room for error when it comes to quoting. You will be manually adding numbers for upgrades and determining the total cost for the products you quote. Urgency - Customers expect quick pricing and support. There will be a tension to balance the workflow of getting the quotes completed, supporting existing customers, and handling everyday interruptions. You will be required to be flexible and reprioritize your workflow. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. 3 to 5 years of technical or consultative sales experience preferred. Relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude required
  • Air filtration experience helpful but not required
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Bonus - Performance bonus opportunity at the end of the year Working Hours 8-4:30 M-F, with some optional overtime
