Employee Benefits Account Executive Insurance Agency We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team. This role manages an assigned book of employee benefits clients while supporting producers with new business, renewals, and ongoing service. Our agency offers a fun, collaborative work environment, flexible scheduling, and a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. Role Overview The Employee Benefits Account Executive is responsible for servicing employer clients with fully insured and level-funded benefit plans, ensuring smooth renewals, accurate plan administration, and proactive client support throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Manage an assigned portfolio of employee benefits accounts Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports Compare plan designs, benefits, and pricing across multiple carriers Calculate employee contribution strategies aligned with client budget goals Develop and maintain annual client service plans Conduct open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and virtual presentations Collect and coordinate client data for benefits technology and enrollment platforms Draft client communications, compliance notices, and correspondence Negotiate rates and plan terms with insurance carriers Support producers by organizing materials and meeting deadlines Perform additional duties as needed Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5+ years of experience in group health insurance or employee benefits brokerage/consulting; Self-funded knowledge a must Active Life and Health insurance license required Strong knowledge of employee benefits implementation and administration Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations Familiarity with online enrollment and benefits administration platforms Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers Experience with EPIC agency management system preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills High school diploma required; college degree preferred Willingness to travel to client offices for open enrollment meetings as needed Why Join Our Team Fun, collaborative company culture Flexible work environment Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity for professional growth within a growing agency Please contact me at (605) 610-3041 to have a conversation about this exciting career advancement opportunity, don't forget to email me your resume to jennifer.thompson@gogpac.com and reference this job in email.
