This role combines freight forwarding expertise with strategic sales and business development. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international ocean logistics and a proven ability to generate new business, expand existing accounts, and drive revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify, target, and secure new freight business opportunities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and margin goals Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events Prepare competitive rate proposals and service presentations Negotiate pricing, service contracts, and long-term agreements Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers Maintain and grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling services (air, warehousing, customs brokerage, trucking) Conduct regular client reviews to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities Monitor shipment performance and proactively resolve service issues Operations & Coordination Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless shipment execution Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity tracking, and pipeline reporting Ensure profitability of accounts by managing margins and cost control Qualifications 0•3+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding with a strong sales track record Proven ability to generate new business and meet or exceed sales targets Strong understanding of ocean import/export processes and Incoterms Experience preparing freight quotations and negotiating carrier rates Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills Strong CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency Preferred Skills Existing book of business strongly preferred Experience selling multi-modal logistics solutions Knowledge of international trade compliance and customs procedures Strong industry network (importers, exporters, NVOCCs, carriers) Compensation & Benefits Base salary + Aggressive commission structure Uncapped earning Health, dental benefits
