ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE MANAGED IT SERVICES
We are partnering with a growing technology services organization to hire Account Executives who know how to create opportunity, earn trust and close new business. This is a true hunter role for someone who wants ownership of a local market and is comfortable building pipeline rather than waiting for leads. You do not need to be an IT expert on day one. You do need a record of prospecting consistently, opening doors, asking strong business questions and closing. Experience selling managed IT services, cybersecurity, telecom, SaaS or another B2B service is valuable, but demonstrated hunting success matters most. What you will sell You will sell recurring managed IT services to local businesses, generally with 20 to 200 employees. The conversation is about business outcomes: faster support, proactive technology management, cybersecurity, continuity, employee productivity and predictable cost. Typical buyers include owners, CFOs, COOs and office leaders. What you will own
  • Build approximately 90 percent of your pipeline through cold outreach, direct prospecting, referrals and local-market networking.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through discovery, assessment, proposal and signed agreement.
  • Create approximately two to three first appointments per week and consistently add qualified opportunities.
  • Use high outbound activity when needed. Successful representatives are comfortable making 125 or more calls in a week, but results matter more than activity for its own sake.
  • Lead consultative discovery and uncover the operational and financial impact of weak or reactive IT support.
  • Partner with technical leaders during assessments and solution design while remaining the commercial owner of the opportunity.
  • Present and close recurring service agreements, then hand the new client to the Account Management team.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline and accurate CRM activity in HubSpot. What we are looking for
  • A proven new-business hunter who enjoys starting with an empty territory and creating momentum.
  • Evidence of self-generated pipeline, quota attainment and net-new wins. We will ask for the numbers.
  • Strong business discovery skills and the judgment to ask difficult questions before presenting a solution.
  • Credibility with owners and executives and the ability to translate a service into risk, cost and operational outcomes.
  • Consistency, resilience, curiosity, coachability and disciplined follow-through.
  • A local-market mindset and willingness to meet prospects in person, attend the right events and build a visible network.
  • Experience in managed IT services, technology, payroll and HCM, telecom, facilities services, commercial insurance, payments, office technology or another high-activity B2B environment is welcome.
  • Three or more years of stability in successful sales environments is preferred. This role will not fit someone who
  • Prefers managing existing accounts over continually pursuing new logos.
  • Depends on inbound leads, a BDR team or heavy marketing support to produce pipeline.
  • Avoids cold outreach, direct prospecting or in-person market development.
  • Needs daily direction to organize activity and move deals forward.
  • Cannot explain past quotas, attainment, individual contribution and the source of prior wins. Compensation
  • Base salary of $70,000-$90,000.
  • Uncapped on-target earnings
  • Typical first-year earnings of approximately $100,000 to $120,000 during ramp.
  • Commission based on monthly recurring revenue, with back-pay thresholds and accelerators up to 1.3 times monthly recurring revenue at and above quota. Benefits and growth
  • Health, dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with up to a 4 percent company match.
  • Flexible approved paid time off, birthday off and 40 hours of annual volunteer time.
  • Gym reimbursement and annual subscription reimbursement.
  • Defined advancement from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive, Regional Team Lead and sales leadership.
Bottom line If you have built pipeline from scratch, can show how your activity became meetings and revenue, and want control over your earning potential, we want to hear your story.
