Job Description

American Sound is growing, and we're investing in the people who drive that growth. As an Account Executive, you won't be selling alone: every deal is backed by a dedicated technical engineer, a defined sales methodology, and a leadership team building a real career path for reps who perform. This is a seat for someone who wants to build a book of business in commercial AV and grow into it, not just fill a quota.
Job Responsibilities:
Sell commercial audio-visual design, integration, and support solutions to enterprise, healthcare, and education clients Drive new business early in your ramp (roughly 70% of your time), shifting toward account growth and retention as your pipeline matures (roughly 30/70) Build relationships through networking with commercial and corporate groups to source new opportunities Run the full sales cycle: discovery, proposal generation, negotiation, and close Partner directly with a dedicated technical engineer to scope and deliver customized client solutions Manage your pipeline and forecast using our CRM and sales process
What Success Looks Like:
You consistently generate net-new pipeline in your target verticals within the first 2 quarters You build proposals and negotiate deals independently, using your technical engineer as a resource, not a crutch Your existing accounts grow year over year as your book matures You operate within a structured sales process (we use
MEDDPICC
) and keep your pipeline accurately forecasted
What We're Looking For:
Must-haves:
5+ years of commercial AV sales experience, with a track record of hitting or exceeding quota Demonstrated success managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting through contract negotiation Comfort working within a draw-against-commission structure Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to sell technical solutions to non-technical buyers
Nice-to-haves:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field Experience selling into enterprise, healthcare, or education verticals specifically Familiarity with formal sales methodologies (MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.) Experience managing and forecasting a pipeline

Schedule:
Day shift,
Monday-Friday Compensation:
$90K-$100K annual draw; once draw is achieved, commission at 30% gross profit
