Director of Operations / Executive Leadership Position Summary ATL Courier is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales / Account Executive to expand our customer base and strengthen existing client relationships across the logistics, transportation, warehousing, and specialized delivery sectors. This role is designed for a true business development professional — someone comfortable building relationships the old-fashioned way through in-person visits, networking, cold calling, prospecting, and consistent follow-up. The ideal candidate understands that logistics sales is a relationship business built on trust, responsiveness, operational understanding, and persistence. The Sales / Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic accounts, supporting customer retention, and acting as a liaison between customers and operations to ensure service excellence. This is not a "sit behind a desk and wait for leads" position. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-motivated, competitive, and capable of representing ATL Courier professionally in the field. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Prospecting Conduct in-person sales visits to prospective customers throughout the Atlanta metro area and surrounding regions. Perform cold calling, outbound prospecting, and lead generation activities daily. Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities.
Identify and target companies requiring:
Courier services Final mile delivery Routed delivery solutions White glove services Warehousing and distribution Expedited transportation Hot shot delivery Medical and pharmaceutical logistics Airport and AOG logistics Attend networking events, trade events, and industry functions to build relationships and generate leads. Research competitors, market conditions, and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth. Account Management Build long-term relationships with customers through regular communication and onsite visits. Maintain strong customer engagement to improve retention and account growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Conduct account reviews and operational follow-ups with customers. Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Identify opportunities for upselling and expansion within existing accounts. Assist in resolving customer concerns or service escalations professionally and promptly. Sales Operations & Administrative Duties Maintain accurate CRM records, notes, customer profiles, and sales activity tracking. Prepare pricing proposals, presentations, and service agreements. Follow up consistently on quotes, opportunities, and inactive accounts. Assist leadership with market intelligence and customer feedback. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales activity expectations and revenue goals. Participate in sales meetings, operational planning discussions, and customer strategy sessions. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier, freight, or warehousing sales. Proven experience in cold calling, prospecting, and relationship-based sales. Comfortable with face-to-face business development and door-to-door sales activity. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and follow-up abilities. Professional appearance and presentation skills. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Basic understanding of logistics operations and transportation terminology. Preferred Qualifications Existing relationships within the Atlanta logistics or transportation market.
