Description:
The Hospice Account Executive is responsible for driving hospice service sales within a designated market, focusing on facility and physician admissions. The role involves building relationships with referral sources, managing territory sales, and ensuring efficient patient referrals and transitions to hospice care. This position may also involve promoting hospice services.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales targets by developing and managing accounts within the assigned territory. Build and maintain relationships with facility staff (discharge planning, nursing, medical teams) to promote hospice services and facilitate referrals. Screen and complete referrals to ensure patient eligibility and compliance with regulations. Participate in sales meetings to discuss activities, opportunities, and challenges. Cross-sell related services (Hospice, Palliative) as appropriate. Ensure accurate and timely referral information for billing. Collaborate in case conferences with healthcare team members as needed. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and professionals. Utilize CRM tools to manage accounts and track progress toward sales goals. Adhere to company policies, participate in training, and stay informed on industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in hospice. Strong communication, customer service, and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations. Experience working in a managed care environment. Proficient in multitasking across multiple computer systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to adhere to the organizational Code of Ethics and Compliance Program.
