Job Description

Full-Time | In-Office | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM McShea Insurance Agency is looking for an experienced, licensed Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who knows commercial insurance and can take ownership of an account, solve problems, and deliver excellent service without needing constant direction. What You'll Do Manage and service commercial clients across industries including restaurants, construction, contractors, landscaping, professional offices, real estate, retail, and more. Quote & sell new business prospects Shop, and remarket current commercial policies Review exposures and recommend appropriate coverage Handle COIs, endorsements, renewals, audits, inspections, cancellations, and policy changes Work with multiple carriers and underwriters Review policies, applications, proposals, and documentation for accuracy Explain coverage options and recommendations clearly to clients Identify coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities Manage client requests from start to finish Prioritize competing needs while staying accurate and responsive Collaborate with producers and the commercial team
What We're Looking For:
Commercial lines experience + an active P&C license are required.
You should be:
Experienced servicing or managing commercial accounts Comfortable with GL, Commercial Property, BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers' Comp, Umbrella/Excess, and related coverages Experienced quoting with multiple commercial carriers Knowledgeable about COIs, endorsements, renewals, and policy changes Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong in both written and verbal client communication Motivated, resourceful, and solution-oriented Comfortable working independently and managing your own responsibilities A team player willing to jump in when needed The Mindset We Value You see a problem and think, "Let me figure this out." You know when to ask questions—but you're also comfortable using carrier resources, underwriting contacts, policy forms, agency systems, and your own experience to find answers. You understand that details matter in commercial insurance . A COI can uncover a contract requirement. An endorsement can create a coverage concern. A renewal deserves more than simply rolling the same policy forward. Most importantly, you listen to what the client is trying to accomplish and take ownership of getting them to the right outcome.
