Role Overview Johnson Controls is seeking a driven and knowledgeable HVAC Commercial Account Executive front-line seller to join our sales team based in Boston, MA. In this role, you will identify and develop opportunities within the commercial HVAC Boston market by working closely with mechanical contractors, engineers, facility managers, and commercial building owners. You will serve as a trusted first point of contact for commercial customers while promoting and selling JCI/York products and supporting successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead the sales process to deliver a positive customer experience and strong business outcomes. Build customer rapport by presenting Johnson Controls products and services with confidence and clarity. Prepare accurate and complete sales proposals that align with customer needs and project scope. Support post-sale transitions by coordinating closely with the operations team. Educate prospective customers on the quality and value of JCI/York HVAC solutions. Call on assigned accounts in accordance with company policy and procedure. Follow up on existing sales bids and leads to advance opportunities through the pipeline. Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM program. Participate in training on the latest industry technologies and product updates. Support team members and peers in achieving KPIs and shared sales goals. How You Will Do It Own customer commitments with accountability, safety, and integrity throughout the sales cycle. Stay close to the work by understanding customer needs, project requirements, and the realities of the commercial HVAC market. Work collaboratively with operations, peers, and internal partners to remove barriers and support a smooth handoff after the sale. Use candor and problem-solving to improve proposal quality, follow-up discipline, and customer responsiveness every day. Keep the CRM current and act on bids and leads promptly so opportunities are managed with consistency and focus. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline or equivalent experience. 3 years of commercial or applied HVAC product experience and/or experience with refrigerants. Ability to read and understand construction documents. Understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles. Valid driver's license. Ability to work in or commute to the Boston, MA area, or relocate if needed.
