Key Responsibilities:
Sell security and fire alarm solutions to customers and oversee design and installation. Evaluate regional marketplace and competitors to develop sales strategies and goals. Build and maintain customer relationships across a range of services including card access, wireless access, and system inspections. Stay current with vendor offerings, technical data, and market trends. Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals based on construction documents. Interpret technical design requirements and applicable codes. Conduct building surveys for installation cost assessments. Coordinate project handoffs from sales to design and management. Maintain contract documentation and process change orders. Conduct site visits to assess project performance and safety. Submit project closeout documentation. Collaborate with project managers to monitor field progress.
Technical & Professional Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Skilled in navigating relational databases and using internet-based tools. Familiarity with CAD design software. Strong understanding of access control, camera systems, fire alarms, and related technologies. Comprehensive ability to review contract documents, read blueprints, and analyze construction specifications. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Effective time management, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Solid mathematical skills with the ability to interpret and create financial reports.
Education & Work Experience:
Technical certification or degree in a related field. 2-5 years of experience in a complex sales role. 3 years experience in the security or fire control/alarm industry.
