Account Executive (Hospice & Community Partnerships) Full-Time | Field-Based | Territory-Based | Healthcare Sales About Vitality Hospice Vitality Hospice is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive to expand and strengthen referral partnerships throughout the healthcare community. This role is responsible for developing strategic relationships, growing market presence, and driving referral growth across an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a proactive healthcare sales professional who thrives on building trusted partnerships, creating opportunities for growth, and representing a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care. Position Overview As an Account Executive , you will manage and grow a defined territory by cultivating referral partnerships with: Assisted Living and Independent Living Communities Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) Hospitals and Health Systems Case Managers and Discharge Planners Physician Offices and Specialty Clinics Home Health Agencies and Community Healthcare Providers You will serve as the face of Vitality Hospice in the community, driving awareness, education, and referral growth while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and compassion. This is a field-based healthcare sales role with defined activity expectations, performance goals, and significant growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Develop & Grow Referral Partnerships Establish and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and referral sources throughout the assigned territory. Identify opportunities to expand market presence and increase hospice referrals. Create and execute territory growth plans aligned with organizational objectives. Maintain a targeted portfolio of key accounts with ongoing relationship development strategies. Territory Management & Business Development Conduct consistent in-person visits to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physician offices, and other referral sources. Schedule and facilitate regular referral partner meetings and account reviews. Prospect and develop new referral relationships within the territory. Actively engage in assigned territory during standard business hours and community events. Customer Service & Partner Engagement Provide timely, professional responses to referral partner inquiries and requests. Maintain proactive communication with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and facility leadership. Serve as a trusted resource regarding hospice services, eligibility, and care coordination. Education & Community Outreach Deliver educational presentations, in-services, and training programs to referral partners and community organizations. Coordinate appreciation events, community outreach initiatives, and networking opportunities. Represent Vitality Hospice at healthcare and community events to increase brand awareness and strengthen partnerships. Marketing & Strategic Initiatives Support organizational marketing campaigns and business development initiatives. Track campaign effectiveness, lead generation, and referral outcomes. Collaborate with leadership to identify market opportunities and competitive trends. CRM & Performance Management Maintain accurate documentation of all visits, meetings, activities, and outcomes within the CRM system. Update account plans and pipeline activity regularly. Monitor territory performance metrics and contribute to monthly growth objectives. Professional Development & Compliance Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies. Demonstrate the hospice philosophy through compassionate, ethical, and professional conduct. Qualifications Preferred Experience Healthcare sales, hospice sales, home health sales, physician relations, medical marketing, or business development experience. Experience working with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physician practices, or post-acute care providers. Proven ability to develop and maintain professional referral relationships. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales activity tracking. Additional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
