BIG RED JELLY B2B
Sales Executive / Account Executive About Big Red Jelly Big Red Jelly is a Brand. Build. Grow. agency — we help small and mid-market businesses show up bigger than they are, with branding, web design, and digital growth strategy under one roof. We're not a stuffy corporate shop. We're a fast-moving, creative, technology-driven team leaning hard into AI-native services and building the future of how growth agencies operate. We've grown into a 2,500+ client agency, recognized by Clutch as a Top Web Design agency in Utah, named to the Inc. 5000 Regionals list, and selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. We're sitting in one of the best seats in business right now — the intersection of creativity, technology, and AI — in an industry that isn't slowing down. Culture-wise, we hustle, we have fun, and we genuinely want to see our people win — in their careers and their bank accounts. If you like a growing, entrepreneurial environment where your effort visibly shows up in your paycheck, this is your kind of place. The Role We're hiring a full-cycle B2B Sales Executive to close new business and grow our client base across branding, web, and Grow (recurring marketing/growth) services. This is a warm-and-cold hybrid role: the agency generates 200-300 inbound leads per month, and you'll work a mix of inbound leads, referrals, and self-sourced prospects alongside a team of 4 sales/account executives. We do have an appointment-setting function today, but this role isn't built to depend on it — you own your pipeline start to finish. That means prospecting, qualifying, pitching, closing, and helping shepherd the account into delivery. What You'll Do Run full-cycle sales: prospect, qualify, present, negotiate, and close Work a high volume of inbound leads while also generating your own pipeline through outbound, referrals, and networking Sell across Big Red Jelly's core service lines: Brand, Build (websites/projects), and Grow (recurring marketing retainers) Educate prospects on branding, web, digital marketing, and AI-driven growth strategy Manage your pipeline in HubSpot and keep it clean and current Hit monthly and annual revenue targets across new project, new Grow, and hosting revenue Collaborate with delivery, account management, and leadership so what you sell gets delivered well — happy clients are the best lead source What You Bring Proven closing ability — you can run a deal from first conversation to signed contract Strong prospecting skills — you don't wait around for leads to fall in your lap Solid B2B sales fundamentals (discovery, objection handling, negotiation, pipeline management) Working knowledge of marketing, advertising, and branding — or the ability to get there fast A track record (or clear aptitude) for generating your own leads, not just working inbound Fast learner — our services and AI offerings evolve quickly Comfort with a CRM (HubSpot experience is a big plus) Coachability, competitiveness, and a genuine want-to for helping small businesses grow Compensation Overview This role is base + uncapped commission, with a paid training ramp and multiple layers of upside. Here's the full breakdown. Base Salary $30,000- $45,000 base, depending on experience.
- 200 per sign-up The Grow 1st-month rate is intentionally double the standard recurring rate — it rewards landing long-term contracts, not just one-off projects.
Recurring Income:
Why Grow Deals Are a Big Deal Every Grow client you close keeps paying you 5% every single month for as long as that client stays active — not just in year one, but for the life of the engagement. That means your income isn't just what you close this month; it's a growing annuity stacked on top of new sales. The table below illustrates how this compounds over a first year (assuming quota is maintained after ramp, and for simplicity, assuming no client churn — actual churn will lower these figures somewhat, but the mechanism is the same: the longer you're here, the bigger your residual base gets). 1 (training) $0 $0 $0 2 (50% ramp) $10,000 $10,000 $0 3 (full quota) $20,000 $30,000 $500 6 $20,000 $90,000 $3,500 9 $20,000 $150,000 $6,500 12 $20,000 $210,000 $9,500 Summed across all 12 months, recurring commission alone adds roughly $50,000 in Year 1 — on top of new-business commission. And it keeps compounding:
by the start of Year 2, that $210,000 book is already generating recurring commission before a single new deal is closed that year.Commission Accelerator & Milestone Bonuses Commission Accelerator:
Hit your full annual quota early, and your commission rate increases by an additional 2 percentage points across every category for the remainder of the year — for example, 10%12%, 15%17% (including the Grow 1st-month rate), and 5%7% on your recurring book. If you hit your $504,000 annual quota by month 10, that boost applies to everything you close and everything already recurring for the last two months of the year. Club Bonuses — cash bonuses awarded based on total revenue generated for the year: $75,000 in annual revenue generated 75K Club $100,000 in annual revenue generated 100K Club $150,000 in annual revenue generated 150K Club $200,000 in annual revenue generated 200K Club Exact cash bonus amounts per club tier to be finalized by BRJ leadership. Ramp Schedule (Paid Training) Month 1 Paid training. No quota. Month 2 Hit 50% of full monthly quota ($21,000 total new revenue) Month 3+ Exceed full monthly quota ($42,000+ total new revenue) On-Target Earnings (OTE) Below is illustrative OTE math based on the quotas and commission structure above, assuming a roughly even mix of sub- 10K and $10K+ projects, and an estimated 10-13 hosting sign-ups per month to hit the $2,000 hosting quota. New Project Revenue ($20,000 @ blended ~12.5%) ~$2,500 New Grow Revenue ($20,000 @ 15% 1st-month rate) ~$3,000 Hosting (~10-13 sign-ups @ $75
- 200) ~$1,500 Estimated Monthly Commission at Full Quota ~$7,000 New-business commission (Months 1-12, with ramp) ~$73,500 Recurring commission (compounding Grow book, Year 1) ~$50,000 Total Year 1 Commission ~$123,500 Base Salary $30,000
- $45,000 Estimated Year 1 OTE (with ramp) ~$153,500
- $168,500 This Year 1 estimate assumes zero client churn for simplicity — real-world attrition will lower the recurring portion somewhat.
