The MSP Account Executive will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for Datalink's managed services portfolio. This position should operate as a consultative sales role focused on solving client business challenges through IT support, cybersecurity, cloud services, endpoint management, infrastructure modernization, and recurring service agreements. Compensation Component Recommendation Base Salary + Commissions $80,000-120,000 annually Commission Uncapped commission based on gross profit, monthly recurring revenue, or new contract value Target OTE $80,000-$120,000 depending on quota attainment and deal mix Ramp Period 90-120 days with activity-based expectations and pipeline build milestones Accelerators Recommended for exceeding quarterly quota, multi-year contracts, strategic wins, and cybersecurity/cloud bundle sales Key Responsibilities

- Build and manage a pipeline of new MSP, cloud, cybersecurity, and professional services opportunities.
- Prospect net-new accounts through outbound calling, email campaigns, referrals, networking, vendor alignment, and client events.
- Lead discovery meetings to understand client pain points, business goals, compliance requirements, and technology gaps.
- Position Datalink's managed services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, Intune, cybersecurity, backup, networking, and infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, solution architects, and vendor partners to design accurate, client-ready proposals.
- Manage the full sales cycle from qualification through proposal, negotiation, contract execution, and onboarding handoff.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, next steps, forecasts, and activity reporting.
- Develop existing account expansion opportunities through business reviews, renewals, cross-sell, and upsell motions.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in managed IT services, cybersecurity, telecom, cloud, SaaS, or technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling, discovery, proposal development, and closing techniques.
- Experience selling recurring revenue services, IT support agreements, Microsoft licensing, cybersecurity, or infrastructure solutions is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable engaging business owners, executives, IT leaders, finance contacts, and operations teams.
- Proven ability to build pipeline, manage follow-up discipline, and close new business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present professionally to clients.
- CRM discipline and ability to provide accurate forecasting and activity reporting.
- Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced MSP sales environment.
