Job Description

About PMI Property Management Inc. (PMI) is the world's largest property management franchisor, with 400+ franchise locations and a network that manages billions in assets across residential, association, commercial, and short-term rental portfolios. We've been recognized on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 for multiple consecutive years.
Our mission is simple:
we open doors to a better life. We're building a dedicated engine to grow the brand by converting successful independent property managers into PMI franchise partners. This is a newly created role, and the first of two planned hires on this team. If you want to help write the playbook rather than inherit one, keep reading. The Role The Senior Account Executive owns the full sales cycle from first touch to signed franchise agreement. You will identify existing independent property management business owners, start real conversations about the state of their business, diagnose where they're stuck, and guide the strongest fits toward becoming PMI franchise partners. This is not an inbound or lead-fed seat. You will self-generate your pipeline through a mix of cold calling, email, LinkedIn, etc. Think of it as a franchise developer focused on creating conversion interest from scratch. This process is anticipated to be consultative, high-trust, and a longer-cycle sale where your questions do the selling. This is a builder's role. Because the function is new, the process is still flexible. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with leadership to shape both messaging, and workflow. We want someone who is critical, collaborative, and eager to help build the system as much as work within it. What You'll Do Research and target. Build targeted prospect lists through market and company research to identify qualified property management owners worth a conversation. Prospect. Run consistent outbound across cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, etc. to open conversations with decision makers. Diagnose. Ask sharp, consultative questions that help owners surface and name the real pain points in their business. Guide the full cycle. Own the relationship from first contact through close. You'll be nurturing high-trust deals over a longer sales cycle. Collaborate. Partner with management and marketing to design and refine email campaigns for the prospects you're working with. Manage pipeline. Keep your pipeline clean and current in HubSpot so activity, stage, and forecast are always accurate. Who You'll Target Independent property management business owners across the United States, with a focus on the Residential, Association, and Short-Term Rental segments, as well as real estate brokers who own property management operations. What Success Looks Like Success in the ramp period is measured by qualified conversations, measured as real dialogue with decision makers, not dials logged.
On target looks like:
8-12 qualified conversations per day. ~20 new property manager connections per day on LinkedIn. Daily list building and active, iterating email campaigns run with marketing. Who You Are Self-starter who eats what they kill. You're not afraid to pick up the phone. You'd rather create your own pipeline than wait for one. Consultative and inquisitive. You're genuinely curious about entrepreneurs and how their business is run. You ask great questions and actually listen. Highly interpersonal. You build trust quickly and enjoy working closely with teammates and leadership to figure things out. Hungry and ambitious. You want an opportunity to grow, not just a job. You see the upside in getting in early. Coachable but opinionated. If you've used a tool that worked, you'll say so. Suggestions on process and stack are welcomed here.
Qualifications Experience:
Sales experience preferred. We're open to candidates earlier in their careers who bring strong communication skills, though real estate or real estate-adjacent experience or familiarity with franchise sales is preferred.
Self-sourcing:
Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline in a prior role is a strong plus.
Industry curiosity:
Comfort with, or genuine interest in learning, the property management and franchising space.
Location:
This role is on-site at our Lehi, UT headquarters, Monday through Friday. Tools You'll Use HubSpot, Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, JustCall, Zoom, Apify, and Anthropic's Claude. The stack is still evolving with the role, so if you've found success with tools we're not using, we want to hear about it. Room to Grow This is the ground floor of a function we're investing in heavily. We are seeking a go-getter, self starter. As the team scales, so does the opportunity we promote from within including a path toward leadership at the fastest-growing property management brand in the world. Early contributors who help build this will be first in line to lead it.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$60,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, with on-target earnings of approximately $160,000.
Health:
Health, dental, and vision plans with strong network coverage and a generous employer contribution to premiums.
