Xcel Robots is a rapidly expanding commercial service robot dealership with regional offices in Chicago, Orlando and Boston. Our hospitality and cleaning robots are primarily used in restaurants, hotels and healthcare facilities, but they are also deployed in many other environments including car dealerships, banks, grocery stores and gas stations. These robots are designed to do dull, repetitive and dirty jobs using effective and efficient technologies proven by users around the world. We do more than sell robots - we are building the future of hospitality, healthcare and retail. Our mission is to provide our customers with technology that keeps them at the forefront of their industries. We work closely with each to understand their unique needs. We have our own robotic, electrical and computer engineers who are further supported by the technical staff at Keenon - the largest commercial service robot manufacturer in the world. Our distribution center and regional warehouses have almost 150 robots in stock for rapid deployment. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, our people are available 24/7/365 to support our robots across the continental United States.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking dynamic sales executives with proven leadership skills to drive strategic growth. This critical role requires individuals who can build high level relationships and close deals that make a visible impact on the industries we serve. We are at the forefront of robotics in hospitality, healthcare, government and retail businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our account executives are robot consultants; not typical salespeople. Even though these robots have limited, or no speaking capabilities, the robots can sell themselves by demonstrating a great return on investment. Account executives start the process and close the sale. In between, they work with deployment technicians to demonstrate to owners and managers how our robots work. The sales process starts with a site assessment - not every facility is a candidate. If one our hospitality, cleaning or platform robots appears to be a good fit for the environment, the account executive will provide the business with a free trial. The account executive is expected to follow up on leads from our marketing people as well as prospect for new customers through cold-calling and attendance at trade shows. They need to quickly identify decision makers and product champions as well as overcome objections from customer employees that may feel threatened by advanced technology. They must be able to meet and work with customers at all levels from Fortune 500 CEOs to waiters and janitors. They should be comfortable explaining complicated technology in simple terms. They will need to qualify customers in businesses that are under intense financial pressure. They should understand the Request for Proposal (RFP) process that some institutional customers may require beyond price quotes. While many sales will occur at the end of a two-week trial, other customers may have a very long sales cycle that encompasses a budget process for the next fiscal year. The account executive is expected to develop and maintain a long-term relationship with each customer. Even though our robots are designed for a long service life, there many other robotic applications in the pipeline from baristas and cooking tools to commercial lawnmowers and window cleaners. A successful account executive should be constantly enlarging the market. This is not a car dealership with a constant customer churn. This is a business with many stakeholders beyond our customers including patients, shoppers, restaurant patrons and hotel guests. These people are downstream influencers that can reinforce or reject a business's decision about robotic operations. Account executives are expected to provide expertise and leadership at the forefront of technology. DUTIES Respond promptly to inquiries Work with marketing staff to refine sales materials Secure new business Monitor competition and market developments Set ambitious sales goals and reach them Learn continuously about existing and new products Present a professional image at all times Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers Resolve customer concerns and deliver exceptional customer service after the sale SKILLS Ability to deliver compelling presentations Ability to identify customer champions Presentation skills to clients from small business owners to CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
