POSITION SUMMARY
The Municipalities Account Executive serves as the primary day-to-day service contact for assigned municipal clients, working closely with the Risk Advisor and Account Manager to manage client needs throughout the account lifecycle. This role is responsible for leading renewal and ongoing service activity, providing coverage guidance, coordinating with carrier and program partners, and helping clients navigate the specialized resources available through McClone's municipal insurance programs. Through proactive communication, technical expertise, and relationship management, the Account Executive supports client retention and McClone's core purpose of delivering exceptional service and building long-term partnerships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as the primary day-to-day service contact for assigned municipal clients, leading ongoing account management, renewal activity, and client communication. Promptly and accurately address client service needs, including policy changes, coverage questions, billing concerns, documentation needs, and other account-related matters. Lead renewal planning and execution in collaboration with the Risk Advisor and Account Manager, including gathering information, reviewing coverage, coordinating with program and carrier partners, and preparing client deliverables. Develop a strong understanding of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Insurance Program, Municipal Property Insurance Company (MPIC), and other carrier and program resources used to support municipal clients. Provide clients with guidance on available coverage, risk management resources, and value-added services available through McClone and its municipal program partners. Partner with the Risk Advisor on new business opportunities by gathering underwriting information, coordinating submissions, preparing proposals, and supporting client presentations. Support the Risk Advisor in client meetings and account strategy discussions, providing technical coverage expertise and day-to-day account knowledge. Identify opportunities to strengthen client insurance programs by recommending appropriate coverage enhancements or risk management solutions. Coordinate with the Account Manager to ensure administrative and servicing activities are completed accurately and timely. Maintain accurate and complete account documentation within the agency management system and follow established Commercial Lines workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education o High School diploma or equivalent o Associate or bachelor's degree in related field, preferred Experience o 3+ years of commercial lines insurance experience Accreditation o Wisconsin Property and Casualty Insurance license required within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout the course of employment
