Job Description

Ability to read, discern, and appropriately apply insurance payments and patient responsibilities from insurance explanation of benefits. Ability to maintain daily payment posting of insurance and patient payments Maintains daily deposit log up to date Ability to maintain daily deposit log and daily correspondence. Demonstrate understanding of applicable CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers for billing entries. Ability to maintain daily insurance verification of benefits and communicate patient liabilities. Answers any patient and insurance phone calls regarding outstanding balances Completes the posting of all cash, adjustments, credits and refunds. Responsible for completing all posting accurately and timely per organizational policies. Responsible for entering all insurance denials. Performs account follow-up on outstanding insurance balances and takes the necessary action for account resolution in accordance with established federal and state regulations. Submit appeals and monitor accounts for proper reimbursement. Contacts all assigned accounts in the work queue daily and provide sound collection follow-up on outstanding insurance balances Responsible for achieving and maintaining cash collection goal •
MINIMUM - 1
year insurance claim follow up/ collections experience required •Compensation based on experience.
