Job Description

Import & Supply Chain Coordinator Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Job description: Company Overview Liberty Paper is one of the nation's leading B2B distributors of high-quality copy paper, serving major retailers, institutions, and government agencies since 1986. We source premium paper products from world-renowned mills in Asia, Europe, and South America and manage a high-volume, international import and distribution operation. We are a lean, close-knit team and pride ourselves on professionalism, accuracy, and long-standing vendor partnerships. The Opportunity We are seeking an Import & Supply Chain Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day execution of our international supply chain—from issuing purchase orders to overseas paper mills through production, ocean freight, importation, and delivery into our U.S. warehouse network. This is not a traditional coordinator position. The role reports directly to the CEO and offers significant visibility into Liberty Paper's global sourcing and operations. For a high-performing individual with strong judgment, initiative, and leadership potential, there is a meaningful opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and grow into Supply Chain, Logistics, or broader Operations leadership as the company continues to grow. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career and grow with the company, not simply manage transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Supply Coordination Issue and manage purchase orders with overseas paper mills Confirm production timelines and ensure timely release of goods Liaise with international suppliers across Asia, Europe, and South America Imports & Compliance Coordinate customs and import documentation (ISF, PierPass, etc.) Communicate with brokers and ensure regulatory compliance Track and manage shipments from port to warehouse Logistics Execution & Inventory Work closely with freight forwarders, drayage providers, and 3PL warehouses Provide internal teams with real-time shipment status and inventory updates Client & Internal Support Serve as support staff for sales and executive teams, including high-value clients Participate in vendor meetings; no travel required
Background & Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in international logistics, ocean imports and supply chain coordination Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills — accuracy is mission-critical Professional communicator with excellent English (Spanish a plus) Comfortable juggling priorities, coordinating across time zones, and solving problems independently Prior experience with customs brokers, drayage, freight forwarders, and 3PLs is preferred Advanced Excel proficiency
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary:
$90,000-$100,000 DOE (Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Offers at or near the top of the range are generally reserved for candidates who meet all required qualifications and bring exceptional, directly relevant expertise.)
