The Account Manager will serve as the connection point between clients, the Home Watch team, contractors, and vendors—identifying needs, coordinating solutions, overseeing projects, and developing existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong account management, client relationship management, business development, or sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service. This person should be comfortable talking with homeowners, understanding their needs, identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, and confidently representing our company and services. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients and develop strong, long-term relationships. Maintain regular client communication, including at least one meaningful client contact each quarter when there has not been other recent communication. Manage and communicate with clients during in-residency periods, coordinating with the office and field team as needed. Maintain accurate client profiles, property information, photographs, vendor lists, and other relevant account information. Communicate significant property concerns, recommendations, and next steps to clients. Property & Service Oversight Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned properties and evaluate their condition. Identify maintenance, repair, preventative-maintenance, and improvement opportunities. Review completed work for quality and completeness. Take ownership of client and property issues from identification through resolution, coordinating the appropriate resources and keeping the client informed throughout the process. Share on-call responsibilities as required. Vendor & Project Coordination Coordinate contractors and vendors, including scheduling, access, communication, and follow-up. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and the Home Watch team to keep assigned work moving efficiently. Monitor assigned projects for quality, timeliness, and completion. Follow up on incomplete or unsatisfactory work and address vendor performance issues as needed. Business Development Identify opportunities for additional services within assigned client accounts. Discuss client needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Help develop identified opportunities into completed work. Contribute to new business development as appropriate. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Takes ownership and follows through without needing to be reminded. Naturally builds trust and strong relationships with clients. Is proactive and notices problems and opportunities before being asked. Understands the importance of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when working with clients and their properties. Is comfortable having difficult conversations with vendors when work doesn't meet expectations. Can confidently make recommendations to homeowners. Enjoys solving problems and coordinating people and resources. Is highly organized and able to manage competing priorities. Is equally comfortable working independently, in the field, and with the office team. Takes pride in representing the company professionally. The Account Manager should become the person clients rely on to know what is happening at their property, what needs attention, what should happen next, and who needs to make it happen. Internally, the Account Manager should serve as the connection point between the client, office, field team, and vendors, ensuring that opportunities and issues move efficiently from identification through resolution. The ideal candidate will also contribute directly to the growth and profitability of Home Watch of CT by developing existing client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to new business development. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships, identify opportunities, and develop additional services and revenue within existing accounts. Strong organizational and project-management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience managing multiple client relationships or accounts with a high level of service and follow-through. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between client properties, vendor locations, and job sites. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with CRM, customer-management, or project-management software preferred.
