As a Medical Collections specialist, you must demonstrate strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills with clients, the public, managers, and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities:

Submit claims to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Programs and Insurance payers. Monitor balances and reimbursement cycles. Process payments via Virtual Debit Card. Manually post insurance and patient assistance payments. Accurately utilize the billing system. Develop and submit appeals or payment reconsiderations, including supporting documentation as needed. Contact insurance companies and collect any outstanding account balances. Maintain confidentiality of patient care and business. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance and program policies and changes. Facilitate monthly TEAMS meetings with providers and staff to update on patient balances or any pending claims. Other requirements of the role include: 2+ years of experience with medical collections. High school diploma or GED. Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
