Glovis America makes every effort to exceed standards by providing quality service to our customers and vendors of the automotive, freight forwarding, parts distribution, used car, and fuel industries. We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies. Summary The Administrator, East Coast SCM will manage the inbound/outbound transportation of auto parts into U.S. manufacturing plants (Related Vendors for Hyundai/Kia and Suppliers) along with container movements. This position also manages shipments to minimize cost while maximizing profit for Glovis and will ensure that all customer inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally. Responsibilities Provide Inbound/Outbound Operation Services including but not limited, inland trucking, freight forwarding and airfreight operations and other duties as assigned Coordinate and monitor US inbound and outbound traffic regarding the transportation of auto parts with customers and provide assistance regarding documentation, inland deliveries, and customs related operations Analyze the volume of inbound and outbound shipments by: managing daily ETA and tracking reports with customers, tracking/locating customer order statuses daily, distributing delivery schedules with up to 10 inland carriers, reporting supply chain interruptions to internal and external accounts, and supporting and maintain supply chain issues Support insurance claims for cargo damage/accident/customer claims in related parties Daily Coordination with Customer Inquiries Monitor and support container moves Coordinate urgent container deliveries to ensure production lines of the customers Manage/control with operations, customers and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs Update Genisys system container history Manage Demurrage/Detention/Chassis Charges According to contracted free time, monitor/alert customers for upcoming charges Provide tracing reports to the customers to prevent/minimize cost Manage demurrage/detention/chassis charges for all related customers, as well as disputing charges with ocean carriers Coordinate Internal/External Communication to Enhance Operations Coordinate with various departments: Finance and accounting teams for revenue, cost accruals, vendor/customer account set up and other inquiries Outbound logistics team and customers for completion of urgent delivery orders in a timely fashion Glovis IT department for enhancing and maintaining Glovis's integrated logistic system, GENYSIS Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc as requested by the customer Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times Responding promptly to customer inquiries Communicating with customers through various channels Provide Backup Support for Critical Operations Compensation Range $57,908 - $69,490 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection) Benefits of working at GLOVIS America Inc.
