Account Support Specialist- Urgent Care Northside Hospital United States, Georgia, Snellville Sep 01, 2026 Northside Hospital is award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing. Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today. Performs as a cross trained multi functional team member of the office practice. Ensures accurate and timely charge capture and billing of office visits and inpatient charges, front office assistant responsibilities, precertification, scheduling or other administrative functions as assigned. Responsible for collecting physician and technical superbills/rounding sheets daily. Enters and verifies patient demographics and insurance information. Verifies medical benefits and obtains preauthorization. Cross trained in the billing process cycle to include charge capture, insurance, collections and payment processing including outsourced receivables.
REQUIRED
Two (2) years of experience in a clerical environment, preferably in a healthcare environment.
High School diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED
Experience in a medical office setting.
Ability to read and understand a medical record
Basic typing skills
Knowledge of current ICD-9 and CPT codes
Ability to manage time of self and others.
Basic math skills
