Live Oak Equipment is hiring an Equipment Rental Specialist whose primary responsibility will be delivering and picking up heavy equipment using a semi-truck and lowboy trailer. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working around construction equipment.

Responsibilities:

Safely deliver and pick up excavators, dozers, skid steers, and other rental equipment Load, unload, and properly secure equipment on a lowboy trailer Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and equipment-condition documentation Communicate professionally with customers at job sites Demonstrate basic equipment controls and safe operation when needed Inspect equipment for damage, fuel levels, and operating condition Assist with equipment check-in, check-out, cleaning, and basic yard duties Help keep trucks, trailers, and the rental yard clean and organized Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL Clean and acceptable driving record Current DOT medical card Experience driving a manual-transmission semi preferred Experience hauling heavy equipment and operating a lowboy trailer strongly preferred Ability to safely operate construction equipment Knowledge of load securement and DOT requirements Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to pass a drug screening and background check Must be able to work outdoors and perform the physical duties of the position

Schedule:

Full-time; schedule may vary based on customer deliveries and pickups.

Compensation:
