This position owns the technical operation, supportability, security, and lifecycle support of MobileDemand's rugged computing products, software platforms, cloud infrastructure, and internal technology systems. This is a broad technical leadership role in a fast-paced environment where the successful candidate will work closely with Software Development, Product Management, Sales, Service, Manufacturing, vendors, and customers. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working across technologies, can independently drive complex issues to resolution, and is equally comfortable providing technical direction and working hands-on. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex hardware, software, cloud, infrastructure, and customer technical issues.
- Own the technical and operational support of MobileDemand software platforms, including xDIM, xPIM, and Insight across Windows, iOS, Android, and web environments.
- Manage Agile development processes using Azure DevOps, including requirements, backlog management, testing, issue tracking, and release coordination in partnership with Software Development and Product Management.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, and related cloud and internal infrastructure.
- Support customer integrations including APIs, webhooks, data exchange, Single Sign-On, and other application integrations.
- Own technical security activities including access management, security assessments, penetration testing coordination, vulnerability remediation, customer security requirements, and physical access/security systems.
- Manage Windows deployment, imaging, Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, scripting and automation, and technical processes supporting manufacturing and service operations.
- Administer and support key business technology platforms and integrations used throughout the organization.
- Work directly with customers, vendors, hardware manufacturers, and technology partners to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Own technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, system documentation, and repeatable technical processes.
- Partner with Product Management, Manufacturing, Service, Sales, and Marketing on evaluation, testing, introduction, documentation, and support of new products and technologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, automation, operational efficiency, and supportability across MobileDemand's technology environment. Qualifications
- Significant professional experience in a senior technical, systems, cloud, infrastructure, product-support, or similar hands-on technology role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
- Experience administering cloud-hosted applications and troubleshooting issues across applications, databases, networks, authentication, and infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows deployment, endpoint management, scripting, and automation; PowerShell experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of
SQL, REST
APIs, modern authentication/SSO, and application integrations.
- Experience working with Agile software-development processes and tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, access control, and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently research unfamiliar technologies and drive complex issues through resolution.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, developers, business leaders, and non-technical users.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Preferred Experience Experience with SaaS platforms, rugged/mobile computing, Android or iOS applications, Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, manufacturing technology, business SaaS platforms, or Microsoft OEM licensing is beneficial but not required.
