Job Description:
[Role Overview] This is a core project management role for Gotion High-Tech's North American base. The position is primarily responsible for coordinating battery capacity construction, production line commissioning, and mass production delivery (SOP) for key strategic North American clients. The role ensures strict compliance with client requirements regarding quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory standards. [Key Responsibilities]
Full Lifecycle Project Management:
Lead the entire process for key North American client projects, from nomination, product development, and sample validation (PV/DV) to PPAP submission and Start of Production (SOP). Develop and monitor the Master Schedule to ensure critical milestones are met on time.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Resource Management:
Serve as the primary liaison between the U.S. site and domestic headquarters (R D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality). Align resources across both regions to resolve cross-time-zone and cross-cultural technical and commercial issues, driving issues to closure.
Client Interface & Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for key North American client projects. Regularly attend client project review meetings, report on progress and risks, manage client expectations, and maintain strong client relationships.
Risk & Change Management:
Identify technical, supply chain, and compliance risks during project execution and develop mitigation strategies. Strictly control Engineering Changes (ECN/ECO) and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
On-Site Operational Support:
Assist with production line layout planning, equipment installation and commissioning, and on-site management during the ramp-up phase of the U.S. factory. Ensure production systems comply with
IATF16949
standards and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR). [Qualifications]
Education:
Bachelor's degree or above in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
Experience:
5+ years of project management experience in the new energy vehicle components or power battery industry. Must have experience interfacing with North American OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers; experience with mass production delivery for North American EV startups or traditional automakers is preferred. Prior experience with overseas assignments, overseas factory setup, or cross-border project management is preferred.
Language Skills:
Fluent English as a working language (proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with the ability to conduct business negotiations and technical exchanges without barriers. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred (for communication with domestic headquarters).
Professional Skills:
Familiarity with
APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
(Five Core Tools), and
IATF16949
quality systems. PMP certification is preferred. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills:
Strong ability to work under pressure and excellent cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to adapt to the North American work pace and travel requirements. Demonstrated keen risk awareness and outstanding conflict resolution abilities.
