Manage compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements, securities law regulations, and other relevant standards to safeguard organizational integrity. Coordinate regulatory reporting obligations including SEC filings, governmental reports, and other statutory disclosures. Conduct financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning. Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies while handling confidential information responsibly. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and other financial systems to optimize operational efficiency. Support audit processes by preparing documentation for internal and external audits; facilitate audit inquiries related to accounting practices. GAAP, IFRS

Requirements Proven experience in accounting management with a strong foundation in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, journal entries, and ledger management. Extensive knowledge of GAAP principles along with experience in SOX compliance and SEC reporting is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting systems including Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially spreadsheets for data analysis. Strong understanding of non-profit accounting practices as well as governmental or international accounting standards is preferred. Experience with financial software implementation, maintenance, or upgrades; familiarity with audit procedures and regulatory reporting requirements. Excellent leadership skills with a history of mentoring teams; ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws such as securities law or wills & estate law when applicable.
