Director of Sales Job Overview Geis Dealer Group is seeking an experienced and motivated National Sales Accounts Manager to develop, manage, and grow strategic national and multi-location customer accounts. This position is responsible for driving sales, gross profit, customer retention, and market growth while building long-term relationships with key national accounts and providing comprehensive customer solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven sales and account management experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and knowledge of the trucking, transportation, heavy equipment, parts, and/or service industries. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans for national and multi-location accounts to achieve sales, gross profit, customer retention, and growth objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, executives, fleet managers, purchasing teams, and other key customer decision-makers. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national and strategic accounts. Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through parts, service, truck sales, and other dealership offerings. Identify, prospect, and develop new national account opportunities. Develop account plans focused on customer retention, account penetration, profitable growth, and long-term partnerships. Conduct regular customer visits, account reviews, presentations, and strategic planning meetings. Analyze customer purchasing trends, fleet activity, business needs, market conditions, and competitive activity to identify opportunities. Prepare proposals, bids, presentations, account plans, contract renewals, and other customer documentation. Negotiate pricing, contracts, programs, and business agreements within dealership guidelines. Monitor account pricing, discounts, incentives, sales activity, gross profit, and overall account profitability. Coordinate national account requirements with Parts, Service, Truck Sales, Finance, Operations, and dealership leadership. Assist with escalated customer concerns, complex opportunities, and cross-department problem resolution. Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, pipeline, and account information within the CRM system. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular reporting to dealership leadership. Communicate customer feedback, market conditions, competitive intelligence, and account opportunities to leadership. Maintain strong knowledge of dealership parts, service offerings, trucks, pricing, promotions, and inventory. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, products, technologies, regulations, and developments affecting the trucking and transportation industries. Represent Geis Dealer Group professionally with customers, industry partners, and at trade shows and industry events. Qualifications Proven experience in sales, strategic account management, business development, or a related role. Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and achieving sales and profitability objectives. Experience managing national, strategic, large, or multi-location customer accounts preferred. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer relationship, prospecting, account development, and closing skills. Strong business acumen with an understanding of sales, pricing, gross profit, and account profitability. Experience with CRM and sales management systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple strategic accounts, priorities, and customer relationships. Ability and willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and industry events. Three to five years of experience in the trucking, transportation, heavy equipment, parts, or service industries is highly preferred.
