Long Island /East Rockaway, NY The Opportunity:
The Field Access Manager is a field-based position that will assist accounts in gaining access to Galderma's biologic treatment. The role is in Galderma's Therapeutic Dermatology Business Unit and will provide access assistance, education, and general support to patients with prurigo nodularis and atopic dermatitis. The role will have a specified geography and partner closely with key stakeholders within the US cross functional teams as well as external partners, and directly reports to the Field Access Director team.Key Responsibilities:
Members of the Field Access Management (FAM) team will be responsible for the following: Optimizing the experience for both the patient and the account Assisting with access challenges for patients prescribed Galderma products FAMs will educate and support accounts by: Providing information and education on Galderma's patient support services and product access Support the execution of strategic and tactical initiatives Follow compliance business rules Serve as an escalation point for field-based access issues Work collaboratively with Key Account Managers, Regional Sales Directors, Market Access and Patient Services colleagues. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an optimal patient experience Act as a subject matter expert to assist customers' in reducing non-clinical barriers to patient access to therapy Educate Dermatology customers on Galderma patient services offerings through regularly scheduled meetings, business reviews and educational programsQualifications:
Patient Centricity:
Ability to communicate with office staff about patient access challenges and discuss options where possible Experience working with patients on specialty products Demonstrate an expertise level on access challenges through their experience working on similar role in the specialty biologic market Well versed on access challenges for commercial and government plans Technical expertise the following areas: Prior Authorization process IDN/Health Systems Payers/managed care organizations Product access for both medical and pharmacy benefit products Commercial and public reimbursement Specialty pharmacy managementComplexity & Problem Solving:
Collaborate with sales, patient services, market access, and other stakeholders as appropriate Identify emerging trends with access challenges within assigned geography and apply insight to development of solutions that support a positive patient journey experience Accountable for cross-functional communication internally and externally among a diverse set of customers Assist with determining access options for Galderma's productsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field required 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry 4+ years in a reimbursement/access role Proven experience successfully launching new to market specialty products and resolving difficult access challenges Understands utilization management tools, prior authorizations and appeals Account management experience preferred Cross-functional experience required, proven track record of collaboration and coordination Exceptional communication and presentation skills: ability to articulate a point of view succinctly and effectively to leadership and external customers Comprehensive analytical/strategic thinking skills Ability and confidence to work effectively and with a sense of urgency Adaptability, resilience and tenacity and ability to quickly pivot Proficient in English, MS Office; especiallyWord, Excel, and PowerPoint Other Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience in biopharma Patient Services or Market Access preferred Experience with biologics and specialty products preferred Experience in dermatology/immunology preferred Launch experience preferred Physical Requirements and Work Environment This role requires regular travel and the ability to effectively perform work in a variety of professional environments, including customer sites, healthcare settings, conferences, and company locations.
