Job Description

The Manager of Graphic Services leads and manages all operations within Graphic Services, including prepress, printing, copying, bindery, design, mail processing, customer service, and related production services. Ensures timely, high-quality, cost-effective support for Woman's Hospital's printing needs while developing and positioning Graphic Services as a sustainable revenue-generating operation. Provides strategic leadership for business development and actively grows outside sales through customer prospecting, relationship development, account retention, market outreach, pricing strategy, and identification of new revenue opportunities, including both in-sourced and outsourced production. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal customers, external businesses, healthcare organizations, physicians' offices, vendors, and community partners. Manages external customer invoicing and accounts receivable processes, establishes appropriate pricing and customer terms, and monitors sales and profitability. Develops, monitors, and implements cost-management practices to protect the organization's investment in printing and postage. Responsible for operational and capital budgets, equipment planning, shop oversight, safety, staffing, performance management, and continuous improvement. Recognizes and resolves operational and personnel issues and leads the department in alignment with Woman's Hospital values, strategic priorities, and leadership expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, graphic design, printing technology, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and significant industry experience may be considered. Requires five years of progressive experience in a commercial, in-plant, or production printing environment, including management or supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience in business development, sales growth, customer relationship management, and revenue generation is strongly preferred. Experience developing outside business, establishing pricing, managing customer accounts, or growing a service-based operation is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrates ownership for department performance, follows through on commitments, makes sound business decisions, and holds self and others accountable for results.
Lead print production, customer service, and daily Graphic Services operations. Drive business growth through sales development, account management, and strategic pricing. Improve operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement. Manage budgets, inventory, equipment, reporting, and cost controls. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Develop, coach, and engage a high-performing team. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to support service excellence and revenue growth.
