An Equipment Rental Manager oversees the rental of equipment in industries such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, utility, manufacturing, and consumer services. They may also oversee the dispatching of delivery trucks and the loading and securing of materials prior to delivery. These managers must keep records to ensure that inventory is taken properly and certain items are available upon request. They also prepare rental contracts and ensure that they adhere to regional and national laws and regulations.

Job Description
- Rental Equipment Manager We are looking for a talented Rental Equipment Manager who has a passion for quality construction.
- Manage and oversee rental equipment operations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop rental team members, ensuring alignment with Company procedures and performance expectations.
- Manages purchase order lifecycle including setup, call off and backlog of rental purchase orders. Analyze equipment needs to increase the use of owned assets and minimize unnecessary rental equipment.
- Setup new vendors and collaborate with Contracts Department to ensure accuracy and compliance of rental documentation, including contracts, and terms and conditions.
- Perform QA/QC audits on rental equipment invoices to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract terms and rate agreements.
- Coordinate with operations, asset managers, and vendors to research and correct invoice and PO discrepancies, escalating recurring issues and recommending process improvements to reduce future errors.
- Collaborate with Fleet Finance, Accounts Payable and Billing to ensure invoice accuracy and proper cost allocation.
- Reconcile equipment rental costs to ensure charges align with actual usage, delivery, and return/off-rent dates.
- Approve rental invoices and manage updates to rental purchase orders.
- Audit for duplicate charges, incorrect rates and billing errors, documenting findings and cost recovery opportunities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of rental records and systems (e.g., JD Edwards).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and standardize rental equipment practices. What You'll Bring
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures, rental contract experience and rental equipment practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records within ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
