Account Manager Impact and Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing and growing strategic customer relationships with leading automotive manufacturers, including General Motors and Tesla. As an Account Manager, you will serve as a critical link between our organization and our customers, driving strong partnerships, supporting business growth, and ensuring we consistently deliver on customer expectations. You'll have the opportunity to influence high-profile programs from customer requirements through execution, collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, operations, and leadership, and build relationships with key customer stakeholders. This role offers meaningful visibility into the evolving automotive industry while providing the opportunity to directly contribute to customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term business partnerships. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities, increase sales, profits and market share (as per Department KPI) in accordance with the company's thermal and pneumatic systems strategic direction through diverse sources, such as IHS data, press releases, trade shows or customer announcements (new models, face lifts, model replacements) Manage all commercial aspects of new identified business (Business Case Development) in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner Obtain customer RFQ's for new business Provide customer price targets to internal teams Participate in the Quote Kick-off meeting and provide all the financial details to the team as required Approve final price, price breakdowns and customer response letter. Achieve successful program awards Represent the "Voice of the Customer" from a financial perspective to the internal teams (price negotiations, LTA, ECR price changes, price discrepancy) for the life of the project Develop and maintain frequent and effective communication with assigned customer base in order to review/resolve any price discrepancies/other financial issues as well as to ensure the development of future business opportunities Participate and provide input in internal cost reduction activities Maintain accurate records in CRM systems. Input and update volume forecast and piece price for awarded and targeted programs into the Gentherm budgeting/forecasting tool Represent Gentherm as the main customer interface fostering and further developing a strong relationship Interface with internal global team to achieve objectives as needed Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business related-field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Proficieny with CRM software such as Campfire Preferred Qualifications Experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 Supplier Nice to know
