Job Description
Position Overview :
The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. The Account Manager is the key contact for day-to-day activities with our Principals and end customer.Job Responsibilities :
Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks. Specific expertise in metal to plastic conversion for driveline components. Create opportunities by canvasing various engineering customer locations. Develop positive relationships with clients which drive sales opportunities. Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner. Successfully match customer requirements to proposed molding solutions. Communicate with team members and management regarding job progress and identify potential issues. Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success. Act as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs. Report on the status of accounts and transactions. Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives. Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts). Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition related to metal to plastic conversion. Travel locally and domestic as needed. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively and professionally with personnel at all levels within both customer and principal organizations, consistently treating all individuals with the same level of diligence, respect, and professionalism.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or business related field. Three to five years of sales experience in automotive field selling to OEM and Tier 1 suppliers. Specific knowledge of aluminum wheels, castings, and plastic components experience is desired. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
