(GFX). In this liaison position, nurturing and expanding relationships is the primary responsibility. Responsibilities will include planning and execution of initiatives with various disciplines in GFX to achieve desired outcomes for upfitting of law enforcement vehicles being purchased by GSA for federal government agencies throughout the world. Key Responsibilities Liaise closely with customers and internal departments Develop & maintain communications pathways to report, receive reports, and determine schedules. Reports may include vehicles on lot, time on lot, production schedule, shipping schedule, time lines on all projects to assure completion within allotted build time. Participate in sales efforts Participate in trade shows, phone calls with agency personnel, targeted marketing material development, and travel that may be necessary to various agencies. Develop short-term and long-term sales & marketing plans for our current customers and potential new customers. Participate in modifying specifications that take advantage of GFX's strengths and minimize weaknesses. Assist in design & development of specialized products or GFX products to maximize profits. Monitor timelines and action plans Regularly track APQP initiatives to discuss project priorities and customer needs. Assist in annual pricing reviews, with updated information on component level pricing, labor time savings and or additional time needed for more accurate costings prior to quotation. Ensure that the O.H.S.A. and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of the worker. Comply with any orders and requirements of inspectors, directors and other agents from the M.O.L. Participate and initiate in continuous safety training.
Qualifications Education Minimum Required:
High School diploma with industry experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management or equivalent
Experience Minimum Required:
3 years progressive experience in the automotive industry.
Preferred:
5 years progressive experience in the automotive industry.
Job Specific Skills Minimum Required:
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License. Knowledge of
IATF16949.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office. Proven leadership skills. Must have or obtain legal entry status to the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
Preferred:
ISO 14001
Requirements, Environmental Management Systems and OSHA Requirements. Working Conditions The following working conditions are present or expected daily: Office environment with management level assignments. Frequent exposure to industrial manufacturing, automotive vehicles, industrial equipment and weather elements. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
