The Impact You Will Have Responsible for retaining and expanding assigned group and fund business while driving growth in ancillary products and services. This role manages multiple accounts, builds strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and leads strategic negotiations to achieve business objectives and maintain Blue Cross's market position. What You'll Do Manages a portfolio of Major and National accounts by leading contract renewals, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand healthcare products and services. Acts as the primary client relationship manager, collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful contract implementation, resolve service issues, and deliver a high-quality customer experience. Drives retention and revenue growth through strategic account planning, data-driven performance analysis, executive engagement, and support of new business development initiatives. How You'll Do It Lead annual contract renewals for assigned accounts, including negotiating rates, benefits, and risk arrangements to meet business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders (agents, brokers, consultants) to ensure satisfaction and brand loyalty. Develop and execute account action plans to retain existing business and grow ancillary lines such as dental, life, disability, and health management programs. Maintain compliance with CRM reporting requirements and participate in sales training and strategic planning initiatives. Support new business development by participating in stakeholder growth plans and assisting with implementation of new contracts. Provide education and guidance to stakeholders on products, services, and operational initiatives to strengthen partnerships. Monitor revenue growth and account performance, leveraging data analytics to demonstrate value and identify opportunities with the marketing team. Ensure accurate contract implementation by collaborating with internal operations and management teams. Proactively identify and resolve service issues by coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders Represent the department on corporate projects and mentor other sales personnel as needed. Nationwide travel to support client needs and collaborate with advisors for high-volume events during Open Enrollment periods. Participate in assigned workgroups and special projects, offering input on performance standards, renewal processes, and client management systems when capacity allows. Support executive engagement initiatives by ensuring executives are informed about key client relationships and providing strategic insights for high-level interactions. Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of related account management professional experience. Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted. Possess and maintain a valid MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/ Accident. Overnight travel as required (less than 10%). Preferred Skills & Experience Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely, actively listen to anticipate stakeholder needs, and align others to drive informed decisions. Ability to analyze complex information, evaluate options, and work cross-functionally to drive resolution and prevent recurrence. Ability to effectively organize work, balance competing priorities, and manage time across complex assignments and competing deadlines. Licensure/Certifications Required

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range:
$140,000.00
  • $145,000.00
  • $150,000.
