Job Description
The Lutheran Home is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Business Office team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate has experience with private pay billing, insurance verification, and Medicaid applications, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Verify insurance and payer information for new admissions and current residents Complete Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms for residents and family members Help maintain the daily census dashboard Assist with daily and monthly private pay billing processes Post cash receipts daily Post ancillary charges Meet with and assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and annual reviews Perform follow-up on Medicaid applications and annual reviews Communicate with residents and families regarding billing and the Medicaid application process Perform general office duties, including filing, answering telephones, and handling correspondence Answer questions regarding resident account concerns Perform other related duties as assigned In this role, you'll enjoy a typical Monday through Friday day shift schedule and take part in our many benefits, including: Earned Time Off Medical Insurance options Retirement Benefits including Employer Match opportunity Life Insurance options including Employer-Paid Life Insurance Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Dental & Vision Insurance Critical Illness & Accident Coverage On-Demand Pay through Tapcheck And residents that you will fall in love with.
